Material Flow Simulator from Tecnomatix/Siemens
If reduced design time and time-to-production are important to your company,
FactoryFlow software can have a major impact on your bottom line.
With its systematic approach to facility design and Smart Factory Object
technology, FactoryFlow enables concurrent engineering of the whole factory,
not just local optimization. The result is quick and easy creation, analysis
and presentation of a visual factory model. FactoryFlow software is revolutionary
in its ability to handle the graphical and logical detail required for
modeling large factories. At the same time, it provides an easy interface
and a small model size that is manageable by the typical engineer or drafter
using a common Windows PC.

FactoryFlow
FactoryFlow integrates actual facilities drawings
and material flow paths with production and material handling data
to generate flow, congestion and safety diagrams. Creating and evaluating
layout alternatives for cellular and focused factory production
is as easy as moving equipment with a mouse and recalculating the
results. Diagrams and reports can be color-coded by product or other
characteristic to focus on dock, storage or activity locations.
Material flow diagrams clearly convey complex accumulations of routing,
material handling equipment, and production data. Major improvements
can be made, viewed and measured by editing routing data or simply
moving equipment with the mouse, and then recalculating the flow.
Aisle congestion diagrams are just one of several
material flow representations that are invaluable for analyzing
flow to improve layout and production quality while reducing cost.
The congestion diagram's visual representation of cumulative flow
intensities through color-coding schemes enable the designer to
quickly make multiple changes to the layout to reduce traffic densities.
FactoryFlow enables manufacturing engineers
to evaluate, compare, and recommend alternative designs with speed
and confidence.

Factory PLAN™
Factory PLAN™ uses qualitative factors such as
noise, dirt, and shared utilities, as well as flow intensity data
to create relationship diagrams that instantly and dramatically
convey the important activity relationships on the production floor.
Factory PLAN promotes a team approach to planning that offers participants
ownership of the new layout and makes the most of minimal data.
